This medication is an experimental injectable created by US drugmaker Eli Lilly. The treatment affects three gut hormones – GLP-1, glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide and glucagon. Early trials indicate it could assist patients reduce up to a quarter of their total weight. Referred to as the “triple G”, the substance is being promoted online as the next Ozempic.
